It’s the culmination of New Orleans Mardi Gras this weekend (leading up to Fat Tuesday), so this week on Putting Out Fire it’s a selection of New Orleans specials. For more, make sure you tune into the excellent New Orleans Radio and Mardi Gras FM.

For now, ease into Mardi Gras with a quiet favourite – the one and only Dr John.

    great tune! Theres a cool mini box set of Dr John that’s part of a series that Rhino has been doing – Dr Johns first 5 albums for $19.99. All in mini LP sleeves. Try JB Hifi for em. Aslo got 1st 5 albums by Charles Wright and Watts 103rd st rhythm band too.
