Paul Simon, I Know What I Know

This Sunday we’re off to see Paul Simon at Hyde Park, reprising Graceland in all its glory 25 years on.

I can’t even begin to put into words the impact Graceland had on me. Almost every family car trip from age 11 onwards was made to the accompaniment of this album, the lyrics are imprinted on our brains and even make up part of the family canon of jokes (like my mum being convinced that the line “the way she brushed her hair from her forehead”, was “the way she brushed her hair and farted”). This IS my seminal album.

I’ve got goosebumps just thinking about Sunday’s gig – please, please let it be sunny… #prayforlondon
