Glastonbury countdown – 21 days to go: New York Brass Band

Playing: Heaven Stage daily, Rocket Stage Wed, Greenpeace Stage Thur, Toad Hall Fri, Outside Circus Stage Fri-Sun, The Gateway Fri-Sun

My love for brass bands knows no bounds. Luckily there’s no shortage of brass action to catch this year, with York’s finest, the New York Brass Band, putting in a marathon effort across all days  of the festival, on top of the World’s Tallest DJ‘s Brass Band Remix at Heaven daily; the excellently named Old Dirty Brasstards on the Hell Stage on Friday and as part of Sean Rowley’s Guilty Pleasures at William’s Green on Thursday; and the Booka Brass Band, playing the Acoustic Tent on Sunday.

If you don’t catch some brass at least once, then I’ll assume you didn’t leave your tent.

Check out the New York Brass Band on Soundcloud here and see them in action rocking that ubiquitous song of summer 2013 below. Boom!
