Glastonbury countdown – 17 days to go: John Wizards

Stonebridge Bar Fri (DJ set), West Holts Sat

Heavenly music from Cape Town: singer Emmanuel Nzaramba has the voice of an angel and the Guardian rightly called the group’s eponymous debut “the year’s most magical album” and named it one of their top 10 albums of  2013.

It remains to be seen how they’ll come across on the expansive West Holts field – their music is delicate, multi layered stuff, bringing together everything from deep house to Shangaan electro to African folk – but given the right conditions (a beautiful warm sunny day like today certainly wouldn’t hurt), their shimmering sonics could be just the ticket.
